one of my most vivid memories of celebrating Christmas as a child was my sister always saying "the sooner you go to sleep the sooner its morning" every Christmas eve. She would go to bed at 7 and end up coming out about a half hour later because she couldn't go to sleep. Happened every year. We still tease her about that.

Our favorite Christmas Family Tradition is to make pancakes (birthday party for Jesus) and sing Happy Birthday on Christmas Morning! The kids love it, we keep the true reason for Christmas a part of the day and we can celebrate our Savior's birthday!

We have a couple...
1. Since some of our family id of latin decent, we celebrate with a huge christmas feast that begins a little before midnight on December 24 and continues into the wee morning hours of december 25

2. Since we have a lot of friends and family and it seems that everyone has family and friends to visit on Christmas day, we hold an open house and invite everyone to stop by between let's say 12pm to 7 pm On december 25th to celebrate christmas with us...this way everyone gets to see everyone and there is not an issue with schedules clashing or upset family or friends...wrks well for us! Going to try to figure out the other ways to enter...blog and face book etc... have not done this before...Looking forward to having my little girl show off her new pettiskirt this year during open house!

It was the night before Christmas, when all through the house no one was sleeping not even a mouse. See my waters had broken and pains had begun, oh how labour can be so much fun. My son it was his 2nd Christmas - I couldn’t have him miss out! So woke him up with what was probably a pain shout. I made him get up and rip his pressies open, hoping whilst waiting his sisters birth wouldn’t happen. It was his first Christmas that he wanted the toys not the box, but oh those pains were coming fast and a lot! We made it to hospital though in plenty of time and I bet you think that’s the end of this rhyme. However what made this Christmas so memorable to me, was the look on my son opening his pressies! And also the beginning journey of having a daughter to love and cherish and that my friends is the end of my rhyme – finish!
